Packers Fans

Fans from the state of Wisconsin are really passionate about their sports teams, but most of all the Packers. A nickname other people have for Packers fans are “Cheese heads”. They are called this because Wisconsin is known for their cheese. Packers fans really are one of the best fan bases in the league.

Ralph Bruno invented the oversized yellow cheese wedge hat in 1987 by his mother’s couch stuffing. It has since become a popular headpiece for Wisconsin sports fans. Bruno says his creation has become a symbol of pride for the people of Wisconsin. He doesn’t know exactly how many have been sold, but it’s enough to line cheeseheads from New York to the West Coast.

Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Charles Rodgers has been the Green Bay Packers quarterback for 15 years. He started playing for the team in 2005. He is considered one of the best players to play the game of Football. In 2011, Aaron led the Packers to one of the teams many Superbowls. Rodgers is the NFLs all time regular season passer rating leader and one of the only quarterbacks along with Russell Wilson to have a regular season career passing rating over 100. I personally think that Aaron Rodgers is the greatest Quarterback to ever play the game.

The Pack Is Back

After coming off a bad 2018-19 season going 6-9, the Green Bay Packers rose above all expectations in the 2019-20 season going 13-3. They ended up making the playoffs and had a bye in the first round. In the second round they faced off against the Seattle Seahawks and ended up winning by a score of 28-23 securing their spot in the NFC championship game.

In the NFC championship, the Packers played the San Francisco 49ers. It was a hard fought game but in the end the 49ers emerged victorious with a score of 37-20.

Matt LaFleur was the new coach for the Packers throughout this amazing season. He brought them to the NFC championship as well as winning 13 out of 16 regular season games. The question is, can Matt LaFleur maintain his winning streak and bring his team all the way to the Super Bowl in his second season as Green Bay’s coach?

Lambeau Field

Lambeau Field is one of the most iconic stadiums in football.

Lambeau Field is where the Green Bay Packers play. It first opened in 1957 on September 29th, and is located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers have a great record of 231-120-5 at Lambeau and their playoff record there is 18-5.

The stadium was named after the founder of the Packers, Curly Lambeau.

A cool fact about Lambeau Field is that there is something called the Lambeau leap where Packers players jump into the end zone stands after scoring a touchdown.

The NFC Championship Game

This year, the Packers made it to the NFC Championship game against the 49ers in San Francisco. The game started off slow as it was only 7-0 after the first quarter for the 49ers. In the second quarter, the 49ers picked up the intensity and scored 20 points. 49ers running back Raheem Mostart scored 2 rushing touchdowns in the quarter.

As the second half started the 49ers were up 27-0. The Packers needed to pick up the pace in order to win. Early in the quarter Aaron Rodgers threw a 9 yard pass to Aaron Jones for a TOUCHDOWN!!! The Packers were only down by 20 now. As the second half began to roll, the 49ers took over the game from there on scoring 10 more points in the game.

The Packers put up 13 points in the 4th quarter but it wasn’t enough. Raheem Mostart and the 49ers knocked out the packers by the score of 37-20. Mostart had a whopping 220 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. Matt LaFleur told reporters after the game that they were going to come back better than before next season.
